Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Fri: To the delightful ‘George and Abbotsford’ hotel in the award winning town of Melrose, set by the banks of the River Tweed. The hotel has all the usual facilities and serves excellent food.
Sat: Morning at leisure and after lunch, which is served in the hotel, we leave for the capital city of Edinburgh for sightseeing time, before we join tonight’s performance of this military spectacle. Best seats reserved. On arrival back at the hotel, supper will be served.
Sun: This morning we tour local towns, calling at the woollen mills in Jedburgh, before returning to the hotel in the readiness for tonight’s Scottish banquet with entertainment.
Mon: we vary our route home today, to drive through some stunning scenery on our way to Gretna Green for a tea stop. Now its homeward bound via the motorway, with the joy of having witnessed the most spectacular Tattoo in the world.
