A Suffolk Weekend - Constable country
Day 1: This tour never fails to please. After a complimentary coffee en-route we head to Newmarket, which is the HQ of the world’s horseracing. Then we continue on to Bury St Edmunds a delightful Georgian town.
Then onto the holiday inn Ipswich, a quality hotel with all the usual services (+ indoor swimming pool).
Day 2: Today we meander lovely Suffolk villages and visit Lavenham with its 16th century architecture and Sudbury, which is the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough.
Day 3: We visit John Constable’s birthplace and Flatford mill the setting of the famous ‘Haywain’ before moving onto Felixstowe, which is Suffolks most popular seaside resort.
Day 4: On our return journey home we visit the Coastal town of Southwold and Lowestoft.
